HOW TO READ INSIDER TRANSACTIONS
Insider Purchase (P)
The strongest signal. Insiders buy with their own money only when they believe the stock is undervalued. Cluster buys from multiple insiders are especially bullish.
Insider Sale (S)
Less bearish than it appears — insiders sell for many reasons (diversification, taxes, life events). One large sale may be noise; a cluster of sales is more meaningful.
Option Exercise (M/X)
Vesting of previously granted options. Often followed by an immediate sale for taxes. Not typically a directional signal unless shares are held after exercise.
Award (A)
Shares granted by the company (RSUs, bonuses). Not a market purchase — but shows insider compensation tied to stock performance.
