1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly: your email address and name when you create an account (via Google OAuth or email). We collect usage data: the tickers you analyze, features you use, and session activity. We collect technical data: IP address, browser type, and device information via Vercel Analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: (a) provide and improve the APEX service; (b) track your monthly analysis usage and enforce plan limits; (c) process subscription payments via Stripe; (d) send transactional emails about your account; (e) improve our AI analysis quality; (f) comply with legal obligations.

3. Data Storage

Your account data is stored securely in Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on AWS infrastructure. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe — we never store your credit card information. Authentication tokens are stored in secure HTTP-only cookies.

4. Third-Party Services

APEX uses the following third-party services: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payment processing), Anthropic Claude API (AI analysis), Finnhub and Yahoo Finance (market data), Vercel (hosting). Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing their data handling.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with advertisers. We share data only with the third-party services listed above to operate the platform, and with law enforcement when legally required.

6. Cookies

APEX uses cookies for authentication (Supabase session cookies) and analytics. Authentication cookies are essential and cannot be disabled. You can disable analytics cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect platform functionality.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your account and associated data; export your data in a portable format; opt out of non-essential communications. To exercise these rights, contact us via our Contact page.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Usage tracking data (analysis counts) is retained for 13 months for billing purposes. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where legally required to retain it.

9. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including: encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted database storage, secure session management, and regular security audits. No system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

10. Children's Privacy

APEX Intelligence is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notification. Your continued use of APEX after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
